The graph on the left shows that when running with wide‑open throttle (with CV carbs), synchronization doesn’t matter. This is likely the basis for those claiming that idle synchronization doesn’t matter "at speed".
However, the graph on the right clearly shows that synchronization does matter while running from idle to 70 mph at cruise throttle settings. It matters most at low engine speeds. Throttle imbalance leads to reduced engine performance even at cruising speeds.
